Custom Boat and Shipbuilding Design and Planning Stage
Initial discussions with customers establish and define the class and functional requirements of the vessel. The discussion focuses on the duty(s) of the vessel, its crew size, accommodations, the environment which it shall operate within and client’s expectations. A close working relationship with the customer from the outset ensures this phase of an order proceeds with a clear understanding of client specifications. This further develops a more pleasant working relationship and one in which helps us to accommodate the owner’s needs easier.
The client specifications are reviewed by our Production Planning Team. Systems and installations are pre-engineered before work is put in hand. Material procurement, staffing, processes, quality assurance, and in process inspection check-points are scheduled for the complete manufacture of the vessel. Our pre-production planning provides the customer with an efficiently manufactured and professional “purpose” built vessel. There is no compromise.
Close communication is kept between estimating, design and engineering, administration and production staff to ensure timely delivery of each component, its adherence to quality and production schedules. What this means to the customer is a quality product built and delivered on time, at the most competitive price possible.
Custom Boat and Ship Production
Our large modern custom boat and ship manufacturing facilities and metal working machinery enable us to build both large and small vessels simultaneously . Vessels up to 34m (100ft) in length can be built completely inside under heated environmentally controlled conditions, while larger vessels are built in sub-sections and assembled outside within the shipyard .
Our custom boat and shipbuilding facilities are strategically laid out to afford smooth through-put flow of materials and components from delivery, inspection, stocking, preparation to incorporation into the vessels production process.
A “Kick-off” contact meeting with clients to discuss and finalize design, production and outfitting details.
Renderings are created based on the customer specifications
Materials are received and inspected against our materials quality specifications
Blue Prints are Processed into Production Parts Data Sheets for Assembly and Fabrication.
Parts are “CNC” cut per Specifications and Identified for Production Assembly.
The Hull is then formed and structural supports are welded in place
The Hull section is built on a custom bed for exact angle and welded with our patented Vibratory Stress Relief Process
The remaining structure is fitted and assembled
The completed structures, decking and railings are prepared and ready for finished coatings.
The Vessel is sea trial tested, re-inspected and then delivered.
