The vessel , designed as a day boat , will be used for general duties by the TPA including dredging support, barge maneuvering, and transit , buoy handling , ship berthing, towing/pushing and ice-breaking in the winter months .
It is conventional shaft single screw driven by a 750 BHP Cummins QSK19-M keel cooled marine engine driving a ZF 4:1 reduction gear . Bollard pull Is 8 tons .
Auxillary power is provided by 2 – 40KW Cummins generators
Additional features include HVAC , a 088 Hiab 3 ton knuckle boom crane , and a quick release towing hook.
